Ma's Fluorite Set

I had to re-set my mom's fluorite set as she didn't like the earlier one I made for her... See my earlier post Ma's Gift...

So, I changed the overall design and made the necklace into a charm necklace using the fluorite stones... Now, she's very happy with the set... When she's happy, then I'm relieved... My mom has a very high expectation of my work and everytime she orders jewelry from me, I always worry that she might not like what I've made for her... Today, I'm happy...

The matching bracelet with flower charm... I changed the earlier butterfly charm as I felt that the flower suits the set better...

On another note, my mom has decided to maybe keep this set for herself after all... She says she'll buy another gift to replace this set for her friend... Until later...

My Bangladesh Orders

I have finally completed my orders from Bangladesh... Whew!!! What a relief... I thought I wouldn't be able to make it considering the time constraint I had... But, its done and I am very happy and satisfied with the finished products... I didn't take all the jewelry photos as there were similar orders, but here are some of the jewelry made for my SIL's friends in Ericsson, Bangladesh....

The Chrysocolla combination with Clear Quartz... There are more Chrysocolla combination with Black Onyx below....

Rose Quartz and Black Onyx Mix Necklace & Bracelet.... Loved it!!! I always love working on Rose Quartz and Onyx.... the two colours are so striking when mixed together....

Another sweet combination... Rose Quartz and Amethyst.... Looks the same, but actually each bracelet has different gemstones arrangement...

My SIL wore this gemstone combination I made for her to her last trip to Bangladesh and one of her friends liked it and ordered this necklace set for his wife...

The fresh water pearls set... Very elegant...

The Turquoise bracelet combination with Black Onyx....

Smoky Quartz bracelet and necklace.... The colour of the stones are just gorgeous... I managed to find different hues of brown for the necklace... Its very simple but classy....

The necklace with Clear Quartz combination....

The favourite gemstone.... Chrysocolla... I received a few orders for this gemstone combination with Black Onyx... I've always enjoyed working with Chrysocolla.... The stones are just so lovely to look at...

Carnelian with Black Onyx... One of my favourite combination... Had one made for my dance instructor for his birthday using this combination and it turned out really cool for a guy too... Of course the bracelet I did for him was the manly version...

That's all for now... Have been taking a break from jewelry making in the last few weeks... Have to start again soon... as I have a few orders waiting... Will update my post with new stuff soon...

Ma's Gift for a Friend

I've been really busy in these last two months finishing up some orders from Bangladesh... I've finally finished and managed to find time to design a necklace & bracelet set for my mom... She is attending a dinner party tomorrow night and wants to present this set to the host...

I've not done a fluorite set for ages... For one, its very difficult to find good fluorite gemstones... The hues of purple and green must be right... Some fluorite tend to be very pale in colour and as a result, the jewelry will look dull... I've managed to get really nice flourite stones from Bangkok and I've mixed some amethyst and aventurine gemstones to enhance its natural colours... I've also added the white jade as a contrast gemstone...

Ma's Chrysocolla Set

My mom asked me to make for her a Chrysocolla set for her new "baju kurung"... She wanted me to mix it with the Clear Quartz gemstone as she wanted the jewelry to maintain its green effect. So, here's the finished product...

I always mixed Chrysocolla with Black Onyx... This is the first I've done with Clear Quartz... I like how the green stands out by itself...

Evelyne's Set

This is Evelyne's latest set.... My mom chose the stones.... Fire Cherry Quartz & Carnelian.... I've never tried this combination before, but it worked.... It turned out really nice.... The colours of the two gemstones matched quite nicely....

Hope you liked it Evs!!!
Love, Elin

For My Ericsson Friends in Shah Alam

This post is a showcase to my new friends in Ericsson, Shah Alam, who recently made some jewelry orders.... My SIL, Evelyne had organised a small lunch get together and recommended her friends to me.... These are their custom made goodies:
Azizah's Bracelet

Trisha's Necklace & Earrings Set

Chrysocolla has become one of my customer's favourite gemstone... Mine too, actually.... This stone is gorgeous when its mixed with Onyx and silver findings....

Shima's Citrine & Onyx Bracelet

Citrine also known as the wealth stone is said to bring prosperity to the the one wearing them... Don't know if its true, but I suppose if you believe enough in it.... it will come true....

Shima's Rose Quartz & Amethyst Bracelet

Rose Quartz or the love stone is supposed to inspire and promote the feelings of love & affection... but for me, I just love the light pink colour of the stone... When mixed with Amethyst, its just so sweet... I've chosen a flower charm to go with this bracelet as the colours reminded me of flowers.....

Sarina's Turquoise Bracelet

Turquoise has always been a favourite of mine... Its my birthstone and I always love to work with this stone... My friend Sarina, wanted to mix Howlite (aka White Turquoise) & Turquoise together... I've never done this combination before and I'm glad I did... It turned out to be a good combination... The whites and bluish green reminded me of the sea....

In my last posting, I made a black onyx and carnelian necklace for my mom as a gift for her sister... My mom decided that she wanted to keep the necklace instead... She loved how the two gemstones look... Beautiful, she said!! So, I have been assigned to make two more sets, which I will post the pics when its ready...
